Parker: „It is not surprising that this small, 20+ acre vineyard in the Cotes de Castillon is a point of reference for the entire appellation in view of the fact that the proprietors are Gerard and Chantal Perse. Yields of 25 hectoliters per hectare as well as a Draconian selection process have resulted in a brilliant 2006 (2,300 cases produced; 13.8% natural alcohol). A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it offers a deep purple color along with sweet aromas of crushed rocks, spring flowers, blackberries, cassis, and hints of smoke and earth. Ripe, full-bodied, fresh, and lively, it is a superb example of what can be achieved by hard work and a refusal to compromise. 92-94 Punkte.”
René Gabriel, WeinWisser: „Sehr dunkles, dichtes Rubin-Granat. Reifes, würziges Kirschbouquet, Rosenduft, dunkle Hölzer, ziemlich konzentriert. Stoffig, ssattes extrakt, etwas körnig, charaktervoll, mit schwarzen Kirschen endend. Einer der Top-Weine der Appellation. 17/20 Punkten, zu trinken 2011-2020.”
